Re: "Message Not Downloaded" problem (Droid Maxx) PM. I have downloaded and used the messaging app, but my issue is still not resolved. I cannot send or receive messages containing pictures. I am accessing these forums from my phone, and I cannot tell what is the "correct answer button", the layout and design is very plain. In our notifications it said something like message not downloaded too. Using stock messaging, no apps or anything installed for it. Anyway, backed out of the text, and then got back in and there was the video. And MMS messages won’t download automatically but you can download them manually. Delete Old Messages. If there are many old messages on your phone, new messages won’t download.
